Yeelian is a Strategic HR Consultant with 35 years experience in engineering, consulting and management in Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region. Her focus is on HR to business alignment. It includes organisation structure design, managing organisation change, process improvement, people to business performance management, succession planning, competency modelling, career progression for leaders and managers, standardising job structure, compensation and benefits. She is also in due diligence studies and executive search.
Management responsibilities have included people and business, project and programmes, profit and loss, launching new services, starting a new country operation and turnaround situations.
Clients are both local small medium enterprises and multinational conglomerates.
Education is a life-long process. In addition to a B.Sc (Hons) in Bio-Medical Electronics from Salford University and M.Sc in Bio-Medical Engineering from Dundee University, Yeelian has been in various technical, management and leadership courses. She studied Chinese briefly at the Beijing Language and Culture University and participated in the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development’s Non-Executive and Independent Director Programme. She continues to learn from reading, people she works with and from daily observation.
