Muhar Murad

Muhar Murad is the Executive Director and Principal Consultant of Lean Management Academy Sdn Bhd.

He holds a Master in Business Administration from Herriot Watt University, U.K., and a Bachelor of Science (Engineering) from the University of Glasgow, U.K.

Since the setup of Lean Management Academy Sdn Bhd (p.k.a Muhar & Associates Sdn Bhd) in Jul 2014, he has facilitated and coached Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Lean Construction, Lean Services, and other training programs.

He has over 28 years of working experience in various multinational and local companies in Malaysia & Singapore. He is a seasoned Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain Professional, Leader, and Strategies. His expertise in operational strategy, coaching, human relationships, planning, and executing continuous improvement with the end in mind of adding value to any organisation.

His last 18 years of experience with an MNC started as a General Manager at their manufacturing plant in Pasir Gudang, Johor, and his previous six years as Senior Director of Operations Asia Pacific based in Malaysia/Singapore provided him with the entire spectrum of “People Coaching” in Operations and Supply Chain for the Asia Pacific. In this MNC, together with his team, he has led or as a partner in a project. He has won three President Awards from the U.S. Chicago Corporate office in 2006, 2009 & 2013.

With his vast working experience in various management settings in multiple industries, Muhar can conceptualise his Consultancy, Coaching, and Facilitating sessions, recognising the “REAL WORLD” challenges.

He has authored two books on Lean; Aplikasi Lean Dalam Industri Perabut and Lean Leadership.

Ts. Ir. Hj. Riwayat 

Ts. Ir. Hj. Riwayat holds a BSME from Boston University, USA, and an MBA from UUM, Malaysia. He possesses a wealth of certifications from prestigious institutions, including Professional Engineer and Certified Quality Engineer. With over 15 years of senior leadership experience in multinational corporations, he has worked internationally, particularly in the United States and China, excelling in managing global operations.

 

His expertise lies in Business and General Management, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and Project Management, enabling him to drive organisational success and foster sustainable growth strategies.

Wan Zainal Hanafi 

Wan Zainal Hanafi holds a Master of Philosophy in Materials Technology from Brunel University London, UK, and has over twenty years of experience in Quality Management and Lean Management consulting. He has received various awards and certifications, including the James Walker Memorial Award and recognition as a National Productivity Champion in Malaysia. His expertise lies in ISO 9001 standards and Lean Management techniques such as Kaizen, Toyota Production System (TPS), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).

 

His consulting services cover areas such as Lean/Kaizen, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Value Stream Mapping, and related techniques like 5S and Problem Solving.

 

He has provided consulting, training, and coaching services across various industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, education, hospitality, and retail.

Vincent KC Loh

Vincent KC Loh holds a master’s degree in industrial engineering, specialising in Project Management, and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the National University of Singapore. With over 20 years of experience, he has expertise in Quality and Process Improvement, Quality Management, Manufacturing, and Project Management.

He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Green Belt instructor, conducting various trainings, including Lean Six Sigma DMAIC, Lean manufacturing, and Failure Mode Effect Analysis. He has led numerous Six Sigma and Lean projects, including setting up Toyota Production System (TPS) and Six Sigma programs in different companies. His experience includes continuous Quality Improvement in Oil and Gas equipment design and manufacturing and establishing Six Sigma program offices and governance processes.

Loh's extensive experience enables him to coach teams in conceptualising, planning, and executing improvement programs to add value to organisations.

Lee Soo Lee

Lee Soo Lee graduated from Monash University in Australia with a Bachelor of Economics in 1985. He is a member of the Australian Society of Accountants (since 1988) and the Malaysian Society of Accountants (since 1989). Starting as an external auditor at Deloitte, he transitioned to financial accounting in manufacturing before becoming an internal auditor at a multinational furniture company.

 

In 1991, he moved into management at the company's engineered wood flooring plant in Sungai Petani, where he remained until 2015, eventually serving as Senior General Manager. Throughout his career, he gained experience in various aspects of manufacturing operations, including strategic planning, raw materials sourcing, union negotiation, product costing, and budgeting. He emphasised the importance of building a strong management team.

 

He advocated for lean manufacturing practices during his tenure, contributing to the successful implementation of 5S and lean principles in a plywood mill. Lee believes that lean thinking and a robust management team are crucial for operational success.

Hashim bin Borham

Hashim bin Borham boasts 25 years of experience in the public sector. He currently serves as the Head of Corporate and Training Development at Akademi Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia. He was certified by HRDF and was appointed Champion for the EKSA MAMPU Program under the Prime Minister Department in 2014. His extensive involvement in training with various institutions has established him as a professional in the field.


Beginning his career as an Enforcement Officer at the Road Transport Department (JPJ) in 2009, Hashim held diverse roles prior, including assisting in community development and managing drug rehabilitation processes. His contribution to obtaining 5S Quality Environment certification for JPJ Terengganu in 2010 facilitated positive organisational change.
Under his leadership, JPJ Terengganu achieved recognition for organisational integrity and excellence, securing top ranks in national competitions.

 

Hashim holds diplomas in Human Development and Guidance and Islamic Counselling, a bachelor’s degree in human resource development, and an Executive Diploma in Law Enforcement.
